Most of the time it's still there. Claude saves what you make to the Artifacts tab in the sidebar, so start there. If it isn't, one of the cases below is usually why.
Where it went
Check the Artifacts tab first
Claude saves what you make to the Artifacts tab in the sidebar (claude.ai/artifacts), so you can open it from any conversation. Most "lost" artifacts are there.
It was unpublished
Unpublishing permanently deletes the personal and shared data the artifact stored, and the same artifact can't be published again. You'd have to make a new one.
It was made in a project you can't open
On Team and Enterprise plans, an artifact made in a project is only visible to people with access to that project.
Your organization limits sharing
On Team and Enterprise plans, artifacts stay inside the organization unless an owner allows external sharing, so a link that worked for a colleague may not work for you.
It's on another branch of the chat
Editing an earlier message creates a new branch with its own artifacts. Switch back to the branch where it was built.

When an artifact becomes something you rely on
An artifact is a great first draft. Once it's the calculator your team uses every week, findable isn't enough: you want to know it gives the same answer every time. Iduno lets you check it against your own examples, keeps versions you can go back to, and lets any AI run it, not just the one that built it.
Move it to Iduno in three steps
Connect Iduno to Claude
Add Iduno as a connector. It takes about a minute, and you choose what it may do.
Ask Claude to move it
In the chat with your artifact, say: "Save this artifact as an Iduno tool." Claude rewrites it as an Iduno tool and submits it.
Get a permanent link
Iduno checks that the tool builds and opens, then gives it its own link. It stays private until you share it.
Frequently asked
Is my Artifact actually deleted?
Usually not. Claude saves artifacts to the Artifacts tab in the sidebar. The exception is an unpublished artifact: Anthropic's Help Center says unpublishing permanently deletes its stored data and that it can't be published again.
If Claude saves it, why move it to Iduno?
Saving keeps it findable. Once a tool is something you rely on, Iduno lets you check its answers against your own examples, keeps versions you can go back to, and lets any AI run it, not just Claude.
Will every artifact work in Iduno as-is?
Not always. Iduno tools can only load code from Iduno's own package mirror, so Claude may need to swap a library the artifact pulled from a public CDN. Iduno checks that the tool builds and opens before it gets a link.
Does this work if I use ChatGPT or Copilot instead of Claude?
Yes. Claude is the most reliable at building the tool today, but once it exists, most assistants including ChatGPT and Copilot can run it.
